Kathy

Kathy is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor with more than 3,000 hours of teaching experience and nearly 30 years of personal yoga practice. Her own yoga journey began while recovering from an injury that caused chronic back and neck pain. After incorporating yoga into her life, Kathy became pain-free and experienced firsthand the lasting impact a consistent practice could have on both body and mind. Over the years, she has studied with dozens of teachers and developed an approach rooted in movement, breath, meditation, and community. She believes yoga should meet people where they are and give them tools to feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected both on and off the mat.

Her teaching extends well beyond the studio. She develops customized yoga programs for athletes, teaches adults with special needs at Ability Beyond, leads outdoor and seasonal classes, and volunteers her time bringing yoga and mindfulness to students and teachers in support of mental health awareness. Kathy also works with individuals, corporations, community organizations, and teams to create customized yoga and wellness programs.
Beyond Yoga
When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, Kathy enjoys cooking, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. As a wife, mother, volunteer, and animal lover, she relies on many of the same practices she teaches to find balance in her own busy life.
